SaskPower Corporation Training a large team of employees with diverse disciplines across geographically dispersed locations presents a considerable challenge for any organization. Add to that the dimension of an external network of trainers and educators and the complications multiply. This was the scenario facing SaskPower, a provincial electricity generation and transmission corporation. The Solution: ADXSTUDIO's Learning Management System. With a foundation in our Web Content Management Systems, ADXSTUDIO developed and deployed a collaborative authouring environment for trainers and a comprehensive set of learning tools for employees. For offline print purposes, automated creation of Adobe Acrobat PDF versions of content managed learning modules were deployed using Content to PDF Publisher, to help ensure up-to-date content parity with online resources. This solution was coordinated collaboratively via extranet by training content authors and via intranet by SaskPower's administrators who used the rights management and workflow features within the ADXSTUDIO Collaborative Authoring module. |
