The ADXSTUDIO Developer Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is a developer toolkit designed for .NET 3.5.

Developers use the toolkit by including the class framework DLL as a project reference in their web projects. This requires that they have a .NET compatible development tool, such as Visual Studio 2008 and a web server that supports ASP.NET, and the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 installed on it.

The CRM Developer Toolkit is designed to communicate with a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server. This server can be deployed in the same data center as the web server, or in a separate location. The toolkit can use CRM servers that are deployed in on-site, a partner-hosted environment, or using Microsoft CRM Live.

The developer toolkit also includes CRM plug-ins that are used to facilitate two-way synchronization with the web as well as to implement cache-invalidation mechanisms with a remote website. These plug-ins require the Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework to be installed on the CRM server.
